WhoIs gateway
A web page that typically operates as a server-side CGI process and performs one or more WhoIs queries behind the scenes and sends the results to a browser as HTML. Some WhoIs gateways will perform multiple WhoIs queries, for example, to get the name of the registrar's WhoIs server from the registry, then get ownership information from the registrar's server.
